IG Masonry
Accredited Masonry Products
IG Masonry Support required a full redesign of its website to modernise its appearance, improve usability, and reflect its updated brand. The current site, while functional, was outdated both aesthetically and in terms of user experience.
The new website should focus on presenting clear, detailed product information, showcasing case studies and projects more effectively, and providing responsive access across all devices.
Key functional improvements include simplifying CPD course bookings, improving access to product BIM files, and increasing overall enquiry generation through clearer calls-to-action and optimised user journeys.

Project Goals and Objectives
1. Make technical information available for architects and builders
2. Promote projects and products
3. Increase enquiries
Solution
I ran user interviews from a range of customers types, from different sectors, including education, residential and commercial. The customer where a mix of both Architects and Specifiers, which form the main target audience. The stand out findings highlighted product information, technical specifications, projects with products used and installation videos as the key areas to focus on.
There was a substantial information architecture and user flow phase to allow the website to cater for the different user types, from architects to specifiers. The main flows involved requesting quotes, contacting support, finding technical information, and exploring projects.
Outcomes
I simplified the navigation, making it more product led, leading to easier access to the technical specifications and CAD/BIM files. The projects are immediately accessible in the sticky header navigation along with the contact link.
The key to the success of the website is in the relationship between the products and the projects. Each links to the other providing context and illustrates how the products where used in real life scenarios.
