About
I enjoy working on challenging projects where I can continually develop my skills, focusing on creating intuitive, user-first experiences.

I possess a multidisciplinary skillset primarily focusing on design for web, applications and digital with over 20 years experience in visual communication and user experience.
I design and test my design projects for best practice standards to provide consistent and positive experiences for end users, using Figma as my main design tool.
Discovery & Research
My process begins with understanding the challenge. I engage stakeholders through interviews and questionnaires to uncover business goals and their vision. I also use card sorting and “How Might We?” sessions to prioritise features and brainstorm solutions.
Meanwhile, I engage with users to learn their needs — what they hope for, how they use the site — ensuring no perspective is overlooked.
I also analyse competitors to understand the market expectations and find opportunities to differentiate.
With a clear understanding of the problem, I move to ideation and planning. I brainstorm ideas and sketch wireframes for potential layouts and map out user journeys and personas to keep the user story in focus.
With these insights, I build a sitemap to outline the site structure, key interactions and calls to action.
Based on the research, I create detailed designs and prototypes. I start to build a design system that aligns with the brand guidelines to ensure consistency across pages.
I implement responsive design to ensure the interface works seamlessly across multiple devices. I start by identifying key breakpoints and designing layouts that can adapt fluidly to different screen sizes, from widescreen desktops to mobile phones.
Using a mobile-first approach, I prioritise essential content and functionality, then progressively enhanced the experience for larger screens.
With the prototypes ready, I validate the designs through feedback.
I present the designs to stakeholders and run user testing sessions with real people to see how they interact. These sessions highlight what works well and what needs improvement.
I then iterate on the design, refining it based on the feedback until the solution feels polished and intuitive.
When the design is agreed, I finalise all details and prepare for handoff. I document the final design system, write clear notes, and share assets with the development team, giving them a full design handover.
I stay in close contact with both front-end and back-end developers to ensure the design is implemented accurately. This collaboration ensures the final product matches the agreed vision.
After launch I gather usage data, user feedback, and analytics to see how the design performs in the real world. This helps me understand what’s working and where users might be struggling.
I use these findings to make continuous improvements and plan for future updates.
